Intermediates 1.25 Hrs Boys/Girls Ages 5 1/2 - 14 yrs
Children are ready for Intermediates when they have mastered Beginners skills (cartwheels, handstands, forward and backward rolls, running and punching, bridges, and basic bars and beam skills). This class builds upon the foundation of our Beginners and Tots programs in an exciting and challenging way. Some Intermediate classes are Coed, while others are Boys or Girls Only Classes. We recommend children at the intermediate level to take a minimum of 2 classes/wk, but this is not required. Teacher recommendation and/or successful completion of either Beginners or Super Tots is required for entry into Intermediate level classes.
Advanced 1.5 Hrs Boys/Girls Ages 6-15 yrs
Our Advanced class is designed to allow children to continue progressing without a large time commitment. Students work the same skills taught in our Preteam and Team Levels. There is no limit to what they can learn. This class is perfect for ex-team gymnasts, older students looking to improve without the minimum 4-10 hrs/wk commitment of Preteam or Team, and for students with other commitments that impede a traditional path. Advanced requires successful completion of Intermediates and/or teacher recommendation.
Hotshots 2 Hrs (2 x/wk required) Girls Only Ages 4+
Hotshots is our first level of preteam. It is by invitation only and is designed to prep gymnasts for our competitive team. Gymnasts may move into Hotshots from any of the following classes (Supertots, Intermediates, or Girls 10+ Beginning-Advanced). In this program, gymnasts begin to put basic sequences and skills together with an emphasis on form, technique, and dynamic execution. Hotshots are expected to participate in our gym exhibition and/or in house competitions as well as a majority of Kids Nights.
Girls 10+ Beginning-Intermediate 1.25 Hrs Girls Only Ages 10+
This class is for Beginning through Intermediates girls who are older than 10 years and would like to be with other girls their own age. Gymnasts work on the same skills taught in Beginners and Intermediates and can use this program as a feeder class for older gymnasts into our Preteam (Hotshots) Program and or our Advanced Class. This class focuses on building core strength and a solid foundation in a mature way. Gymnasts may choose to take this class along with either Beginners or Intermediate classes or by itself.
Tumbling 1.25 Hrs Girls/Boys/Adults Ages 5+
This class teaches beginning through Advanced tumbling skills and is ideal for people interested in focusing on the tumbling aspect of gymnastics without the other apparatuses. We work cartwheels, Handstands, Handsprings, Saltos, and Aerials, as well as conditioning, flexibility, and balance elements. Perfect for cheerleaders, dancers, skaters, or gymnasts looking to narrow in on their tumbling.
Teen/Adult 1.25 Hrs Coed Ages 12+
Our teen/adult classes all begin with a thorough warmup, followed by basic floor work and mat tumbling. Next students may work on a variety of goals to suit their skill level and can choose to just work floor and tumble track or branch off to work beam, bars, etc. The final 15 minutes are generally set aside for conditioning and stretching for those interested in building strength, endurance, and flexibility.
